The attack on the American flag will come in the form of “let’s create a new flag that better represents the diversity of America”.
When recovery.gov introduced its new logo back in the early days of the Obamanation, I thought that would be our new flag by 2016. Note that it includes symbology for agriculture (3 plants sprouting), industry (gears), and the state (a field of stars that is incomplete). They sure do seem like a contemporary sickle, hammer, and star don’t they?
They’ll probably propose a flag that swaps the stripes for a rainbow and a canton with field of orange filled with a bunch of “Co-exist” type symbols in black to replace the stars.
