I have a friend on 10 wooded acres in Central Fla.
Was visiting a few months ago. When he leaves the house he unlocks the doors.
“If they’re coming in I’d rather they not break in, just open the door”.
I knew a guy who left his cabin in PA unlocked.
People would find it and use it whatever, and if it was locked, they’d vandalize it as *thanks* for being locked.
Easier to let them use it and not put up with vandals they’d never catch.
However, the water turn on valve was VERY well hidden.
