Roger that!
John 16:33:
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
It will need devotion to the Lord if we would see a stop to the curses and a renewal of blessings again. Mere politics can’t avail here; the flesh is useless against sin.
What went wrong... well it goes back to original sin. We all look equally ugly in that mirror. Personally accepting a Redeeming God... not one that pretends we are okay, or even that we could make ourselves okay on our own, and not one that is the center of nice civic ceremonies... is a must. And if we look frankly at recent history... America and even many “conservatives” fell down. Badly. The public sees the face on TV. God has X ray eyes.
God wants us even more than He wants good behavior. The good behavior will follow. But salvation has to be accepted first, before it can follow.

FR is my philosophical home, after the Word of God and my faith in the Risen Christ and my local church.
Thank you, Jim.
I will continue to put my money where my mouth is.
God bless you and yours.
Amen!
For what it counts, you have my support.
Always darkest before the dawn.
AFAIAC that was Jonathan Harris best performance!
This is one of the few places where the type of topics addressed here, can be addressed openly.
It’s a heartache sometimes how what is holy gets flouted (mocked) here so often, and it is styled as joking or natural or whatever good thing we might come up with to call it.
But if we do so horribly, imagine where the world is.
Amen!
And I am very upset over the CA bill forcing vaccines as well! It might not be the whole country.... Yet..... But it means things can be pushed into your body for the Common Good. And you have no right to refuse.
What is happening to our country??
Why are the people such idiots??
This country is now a liberal socialist nation with gun rights (for now).
I’m with you; we cannot deny Truth when we know certain things to be true. The failure of our elected and appointed public officials to do their duties to uphold the Constitution does not excuse us from doing ours.
“As the man said, give me liberty or give me death”. The latter may be just around the corner.
I am listening to Two Steps from Hell today. It seemed oddly appropriate. I see more signs of an uprising of protest in the Catholic church today than I do in our country. That should not be.
Thank you. I’m sure I saw Chariots of Fire, but my old brain doesn’t remember things anymore. :)
And it may be time to use them.
