My Dad, a Civil War buff and a SUVCW member, took me to this park a number of times when I was a kid.

“Stand alone” Confederate flags are being pulled. So, unless it has BOTH flags - it’s gone. My husband introduced me to Gettysburg, and I expected to HATE it and be bored. But I fell in love, and my imagination was set free to contemplate what happened there. It is such a compelling place.
My husband was such an amazing tour guide, and without his incredible knowledge and reverence of the battles that took place there, I probably would never have seen the place with clear eyes. I wouldn’t have understood.
The last time we went was a year ago - and that will be the last time if this outrage is not reversed.
