They didn't....this is the gay movements ultimate gate swinging open achievement....they do not speak for most of Americans...they simply have more power to lobby and bring suit along with the money to do so.

30 states ‘banned’ gay marriage....so they made it a federal case. Same with Madelyn Murray O'Hara who took prayer out of schools.
