Sen. Ted Cruz delivered a full-throated critique Thursday of the Supreme Court, saying that it is clear that the “rogue justices” that ruled in favor of Obamacare subsidies are “lawless” political foot soldiers that have joined forces with the Obama administration.
Speaking on the Senate floor, the Texas Republican and 2016 GOP presidential candidate said that if the “justices want to become legislators, I invite them to resign and run for office.”
The remarks came shortly after the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the Obama administration is lawfully doling out Obamacare’s subsidies in dozens of states despite contested language in the law that sparked a legal battle with major political and economic ramifications.
“The Supreme Court willfully ignored the words that Congress wrote, and instead read into the law their preferred policy outcome,” Mr. Cruz said. “These judges have joined with President Obama in harming millions of Americans.”
He continued, “Those justices are not behaving as umpires calling balls and strikes. They have joined a team, and it is a team that is hurting Americans across this country.”

He best keep his speech ready for copies because I am afraid we are not complete with our disappointment with the Supreme Court. I have a terrible feeling that the Supreme Court is going to make Gay Marriage the law of the land. I deeply pray I am wrong.
I don’t think you are.
I can't find it.
An old quote comes to mind: If elections mattered, they wouldn't let us do them.
They are the end all of power right now. Congress is a step down.
Impeach them for bad behavior. It’s in the Constitution.
Sadly you are right.....I am sick to my stomach.....our country is dead.
Since the words of the Constitution have no meaning for Roberts and Kennedy and the 4 stooges, why should we think that words of a Statute have any meaning to these clowns?
Roberts just singlehandedly rendered all statutory law “ambiguous” and effectively destroyed the “rule of law” with this decision.
We are no longer a nation of laws. We are a nation of men.
Ted, send a memo to the House: Don’t urge Roberts and the gang to resign and run for Congress. Impeach them. They’ve broken their oath to uphold the Constitution. That’s a High Crime or Misdemeanor any day.
The SC is now just another part of big government. It is not ruling based on the law, it is ruling based on politics.
Sad...it means our constitution is now worthless.
We either rebel or we are persecuted.
The declaration of independence recounts abuses that began first with loss of legislative freedom, then it went to loss of property & privacy freedom under martial-like law, and then it went to killing and imprisoning and enslaving.
The 3rd step was the obvious reason to step out in full rebellion, but the other two generated increasingly confrontive civil disobedience.
It is time.
I don’t know who the GOP thinks they’re going to get votes from, after all this. Not the illegals they are pandering to, not the conservatives whom they’ve betrayed, and certainly not the left. So who do they think will ever vote for them now, other than that nebulous vague “moderate”?
Hussein is leaving a legacy, alright. It’s as if a slimy slug has crawled across the Constitution and the country, leaving a slimy ineradicable trail behind him. Hussein and his army of fellow slugs.
Why run for Congress? Resign and get the heck out of my country.
