Advertising is all about transference. If you associate good feelings about a particular person, for example Tiger Woods, you will think of him when you think of that product.
For example, Tiger Woods is a winner and unbeatable and he wears a tag Heuer watch. If I wear one I will be like him.
Now people are afraid that if they wear a tag, their wife will chase them down the driveway beating them with a golf club.
