In a new world where feelings trump facts, the answer is yes. Consider, if I think I’m a girl, then I’m a girl and you must treat me as such, or else. If I think I’m black, or plaid or whatever, then I am and you must treat me as such.

Let’s take this line of thought a bit further. For the moment, the Leftists are saying that self-identification is all that’s needed. Rachel is black. Lizzy Warren is an Indian. Bruce is Caitlyn. We have always been at war with East Asia, etc.
But, at some point, this becomes financially overburdensome and some formal method of determination. Ultimitately, that means political identity courts, which make the determination subjective, but subject to the validation of a political court. From there, it’s but another logical step to connections, perhaps in the form of Party Membership, being the ultimate trump card.
