It will start right after all government checks cease to be issued. Unless you are in your 80s or you drop dead from an unknown cause, it will happen in your life.

Should that happen, I agree that there would be strife in this country on a scale not seen since 1865...but I don't think it's going to happen. I can't stand socialism, but adopting it doesn't automatically lead to complete economic collapse.
