There’s some new open source textile equipment. Just found it. It’s working but still in development (beta) and extremely low cost to build. Like much of the other open source design equipment, it’s robotic. So all the robots are belong to us.

Most likely, the economy is about to go through some extreme changes, some very bad and some very good.

BTW, on robotics, the various control boards used with open source manufacturing equipment came from open source design projects, too. There are many open source designs for various kinds of 3D printers, burners and other kinds of equipment now. “Robotic,” because they are controlled by computers, servos and whatever other kinds of actuators needed. “Robots:” silly word these days, IMO. DIY robots are relatively cheap.
