Two things McCain could have done that would have greatly improved his chances in 2008, and I believe would have put him over the top:

1. Not hobbled Palin once he choose her. He should have let Palin be Palin and run her own campaign with her own advisors instead of shackling her with that liberal traitor Nicole Wallace.

2. Not suspended his campaign to run off to Washington to “save the country” and then end up voting for the Bush Bailout.

McCain was incredibly stupid. How he got the nomination in the first place is beyond me. But he got it, and once he did get it I believe he could have been president. But instead, with the help of Wallace and his other “advisors” he flushed it all down the toilet... and the rest is our Ignominious History.

“McCain was incredibly stupid.”

And he’s not exactly Einstein today, either.

The most important reason of all - it was his turn.

It is almost as if he really did not want, or was not intended to win. I think Sarah scared hell out of ALL the establishment types, and that they ALL were afraid that their cushy little apple carts were about to be pushed over. The results of their fear speak for themselves.

My pet conspiracy theory is that by the time he chose Palin, McCain already knew he was going to lose. So he deliberately picked her and fed her into the Katie Couric woodchipper in order to keep the world safe for RINOS.

I honestly believe it was never McCain’s intention to win. I think the fix was in for Barry way before Palin came along. She was chosen to further insure McCain’s defeat. Little did TPTB realize just how her message would resonate with the decent people of this country. That was the point at which she was shackled. They thought she would be a joke. They don’t understand conservative people nor do they respect us.

McCain ‘was’ and still is stupid. His display of self ego seems to have no bounds. His war experience was never more than what the vets of Corregidor endured as well as many other instances of war. My brother was killed on Okinawa in WWII and I view his death with more reverence than I do McCain’s continual play as a war hero.
