Oakland is about 28% African-American, where San Francisco is about 5%. But Oakland lost about 25% of of its black population in the last 15 years.

The North Bay and South Bay also don't have many blacks. (Santa Clara County is about 2% black while the rest are split evenly among Asians, Hispanics, and white nonHispanics)

The reason most black resident of the Bay Area live in the East Bay, is supposedly because the migration happened in World War II and after, to work in businesses owned by Henry J. Kaiser.

Must have been all those "negro lives matter" uprisings going on in Oakland I heard about recently that gave me ideas.

Riots by the colorful inner city types get the MSM coverage these days. A form of reparations, I suppose.

Luckily I live nowhere nearby.
