Woods, a self-described white South Carolinian, contended that there is only one way to fix this racial violence fostered by white supremacy, “it is up to white people to rescue white people from our own worst selves, from the distorted monsters we have allowed ourselves to become. It is time to stop making excuses. We have to stop hiding from the truth of race — that this country, and the state of South Carolina in particular, were created on the idea of white supremacy. We’ll never overcome that history unless we acknowledge it.”

South Carolinians just re-elected in a landslide margin an Indian, female governor and also elected in a huge landslide a black U.S. Senator - willingly and knowingly. There is no such culture of white supremacy currently in existence in South Carolina or anywhere else, for that matter, that holds any dominance. No, everyone else is not to blame for his evil actions and the extreme, evil viewpoints he espoused. This is stupid.

“Woods, a self-described white South Carolinian,”

Which means it’s really an angry, ugly lesbian from San Francisco.

Precisely.

Are all Blacks willing to own the looting and destruction of some 200 businesses in Baltimore? How about Fergusson? Watts?

Are people so ridiculously removed from the concept of individual responsibility that they will fall for this crap?

Amen from a South Carolinian who feels almost like I belong here after 12 years.
