There are two sets of laws: One for the peasant class. One for the ruling class. the only time a member of the ruling class gets in trouble with the law is when they piss off a member of the ruling class that is in a higher caste than they are.
Right. Prosecutors and law enforcement are terminally allergic to enforcing "the law" against someone in the ruling class who is capable of totally effing up their careers and pensions.
Peasants can't do that, so we're fair game...
