.....O'Malley pointed to his record as governor, which included passage in 2013 of a wide-ranging gun-safety bill. On the national level, he is calling for an assault weapons ban, stricter background checks and efforts to prevent "straw purchases" of guns, such as fingerprinting requirements, which Maryland implemented.

For the national socialist left is all about grabbing what they can with each serious crisis.

Crisis they’ve created... but I digress..

You can bet that they will try to push this as far as they can and then just wait like the Anaconda for the next breath.

Expect them to push for some version of Intergalactic Background Checks ... that is their holy grail.

For once they’ve attained the requirement that you need get their permission to defend yourself we’re good as toast.

I propose background checks, finger printing and registration of all Democrats.

Annually.

Monthly works for me. I’d also suggest cavity searches for them but they’d like it.

O’Malley says, “A single life in America is worth more than all the guns in the United States.”

I didn't do the math, but if it's true, that life would need to be be Bill Gates' life or Warren Buffett's life. Otherwise, all we put a monetary value on human life every day and the average isn't even close.

If all guns ere eliminated including the police and military in his fantasy world, well, the Western world was a very very dangerous place during the Dark Ages -- all with weapons readily available at Home Depot and on Amazon today.

Wait a minute!

Are you telling me that Violence didn’t start 500 years ago with the invention of the firearm? /s

Someone pointed out in an article in an NRA magazine that if you could wave a magic wand and rid the world of guns...

That miscreants, criminals and governments would simply use edged weapons.

Weapons that give over an advantage to those who are stronger and who can spend time perfecting the deadly skills with such weapons.

"The application process reportedly takes at least two months,"

THREE Months.

Including 3 personal references, who the Detectives never contact. They just make you wait out the clock. And then you have to go through the NICS check when you get the permit.

Not true. Their holy grail is the complete elimination of all firearms from anyone EXCEPT the police and the military. They've said it many times. Atlanta's former late and greatly unlamented mayor, Maynard Jackasson said repeatedly that their goal was "a society where only the police and military are armed."

Anti gunners cannot be bargained with because they have nothing to offer. They cannot be reasoned with because their lust for domination of a totally disarmed populace isn't based on reason. They feel no pity or remorse for their victims, because the ONLY lives that matter are government employee lives. If you're killed by one of their beloved criminals because you've been disarmed, that is a good thing because then the criminal survives. One thing is for sure they will never stop until one of the following conditions is met

There are only three outcomes

  1. They win and we are completely disarmed
  2. We (or at lease those of us who dissent) are killed by their beloved police "resisting arrest."
  3. Enough of their agents and enough anti-gunners are killed by patriots "resisting arrest" that they are silenced for a generation or so

Well, look at it this way - Intergalactic Background Checks are really registration under a different name.

Because how are you going to know if an IBC is correctly carried out if the guns aren’t registered…

And as many have postulated, registration equals confiscation.. for once they have that it’s just a matter of where the Registered guns are stored before they are destroyed.

It’s almost a question of semantics between your guns being effectively confiscated and physically confiscated.

IF the government has legal control over your firearms they can take them at any point in time – even at gun point at 3:00 AM.

We have the experience of what happened in the UK and Australia as our guide.

In response to a similar incident their guns were registered – all the while they were promised that it wouldn’t lead to confiscation.

THEN In response to another incident their guns were Confiscated..

Confiscation

It already happened in the USA (NYC.) In 1976 people who owned semiautomatic rifes in NYC were forced to register them (about 2400 people I think). Then in the early 90s David Dinkins pushed through a confiscation scheme where those who owned them either had to prove that they were rendered inoperable, sold out of the jurisdiction or turned in to police. About 18 people didn't comply and NYCs "finest" came in the night kicking down doors to arrest them and confiscate their property. About half of the 18 were administrative errors, but the remaining half were arrested, charged with felonies, and lost their property. Seig Heil.

All the ‘miscreants, criminals and governments’ would need is a laptop, a 3D printer, a milling machine, and suitable software to fabricate virtually ANY firearm their hearts desire......progressive laws or no. We are in the 21st century, the high tech age, don’t ya know. Idiots.

Not even THAT equipment is required: just a couple of pipes, connectors, nails and shells.

One HELL of a slam ‘pop-gun’
