A civil war is raging within the Republican Party, pitting House leaders against conservatives.
And fed up conservatives have now decided to fight back in public.
A congressional aide tells WND a group of House conservatives will discuss this week how to proceed, but a few of them have already decided to speak up publicly.
One tactic conservatives might employ would be voting with Democrats on procedural motions to derail legislation favored by leadership.

The behind-the-scenes battle broke into open view on Friday when Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., was stripped of his chairmanship of a subcommittee for doing just that: voting against a House rule, in an unsuccessful attempt to slow down the rush to give President Obama virtually unchecked power to negotiate massive trade deals.
Radio talk-show host Laura Ingraham didnt mince words in blasting the tactics of House Republican leaders: This is what the mafia does. Im sorry, but this is a political mafia on Capitol Hill.
I dont see this as a Republican Party who represents people like me. And if they distance themselves from people like me, then I dont see how [they're] going to win the presidency.
Meadows posted a scathing statement on Facebook:
No one should be punished for voting their conscience and representing their constituents. I didnt run for Congress to be a Yes vote for House Republican leadership. I came here to represent the people of Western North Carolina. My voting card may have my picture on it, but it belongs to the people of Western North Carolina and I will continue to listen to their voices regardless of the consequences. God bless.

The GOPe is in for a huge surprise next year. Let the Dems have it. We conservatives wil survive, but only after we deliver a major blow to Rove and Company.
For years we were a Republic, steeped in the rule of law, due process, contract law, and even under the surface a hat tip to the Magna Carta. In the last 6 years that has all gone bye-bye.
FWIW, many have heartburn about GWB, but he and in that time frame it was comity and play by the rules, a far cry from the Clinton years you brought their own brand of Mob behavior, the Arkansas version. We have slid so far, it is heartbreaking.
I remember in the Clinton years calling a talk show guy locally that left the airways do due health problems and I do not know his fate David Neuman. He was talking about something the Clinton's did that was really arm-twisting behavior. I told him welcome to the Soprano Administration we will all pay the Vig. After a brief silence he said, great call... We are being Soprano'd from all sides now...
God bless you, Mark Meadows
And God bless my congressman, Bill Posey too!
They listened to their constituents!
We don’t have to vote if we don’t like the candidate chosen by the donor class.
A ‘mafia-style crackdown’ is what happens when the leadership has nothing to blackmail with: and blackmail has been a traditional method of controlling votes by the leadership.
A walk in the desert for yet another 8 years? I may need a new pair of boots.
Identify specific GOP leadership stakeholders (Boehner, McConnell, Ryan, etc.), hold your nose and plunk your votes for the Democrat. Repeat as necessary.
Fire the RINOS.
It’s about time for the conservative movement to break from the GOP and form their own party.
It won’t be a surprise, it will be a reckoning. I’m considering taking early retirement to focus my energies on next year’s elections.
Trump.
No difference between Pelosi and Boehner.
Trump is more democrat than anything.
Republicans are Democrats, they use different names to keep the focus local. Trump and a third party slows the wheels.
The GOP is completely compromised. The Cheap Labor Express owns them. We need an opposition party.
For the Republic to survive, the GOP must die.
GOP-RIP
Excellent idea, start working with the Dems to derail Boehner’s worthless plans.
We need desperately to get conservatives in office. It may be to late already. Trump should be more honest and run as a democrat.
