I judged Obama a threat the the well being of America, so was compelled to vote for Mitt in the general election. I did not vote for Mitt in the primary, instead voting for Ron Paul as a protest candidate, while knowing that my vote made no difference (Washington State's caucus's being late in the season.)

Did you vote for Obama? Did you vote 3rd Party? Did you abstain from voting for POTUS because Mitt wasn't good enough? Best case scenario your vote didn't matter - worst case you helped deliver the USA over to Obama.

Mitt was far from my first choice, but I am sure he would not have governed as a racist, American hating, gay communist Islmaic sympathizer trying to "fundamentally transform" America.

Given that I am sure I own no apology to the Conservative movement, or my conscience, or anyone for my general election vote for Mitt. At the time I thought it was the right thing to do, in retrospect it was clearly the right thing to do.

Re: voting for Romney

I too voted for Romney, knowing he wasn’t a true Conservative. But I knew I could live with myself with that vote, because it was better to vote for a pro-choice candidate, than an anti-America candidate (even though I’m pro-life). And even though Romney probably was owned by the establishment, I don’t believe for a minute, he would have been nearly half as bad, as Obama has been, as Jack Black pointed out in his post (racist, American hating, gay communist Islmaic sympathizer trying to “fundamentally transform” America).

That said, I believe we need the “right-wing extremist” candidate now....and that would be none other than Ted Cruz. He’s not perfect, but damn if he isn’t a true Conservative.
