I’m glad he came out against it the second time around. But a lot of what he cites was already out there before the first vote, and like others he had the ability to see all that and the “secret” draft copies of the actual trade bills.
Sessions came to a very different conclusion, Cruz came around to it. Whether he did so because he didn’t read the material ahead of the original vote or because he saw his Conservative support starting to waver we won’t know. While this won’t be a factor (now) in any decision I make to vote for him, I can’t deny that this hasn’t diminished him.

TiSA and TTIP have always been 100% secret. Nobody in Congress knows what the heck is in them. Fast tracking them is 100% NUTS. Really, a vote against this current TSA should never have been a difficult decision.
Cruz changed his mind based on what has emerged about the two other bills. The controversy between Cruz and Sessions was on TPP. The immigration language problem is on the other two trade bills. The U.S. was not signed onto the TPP immigration section.
