...I only knew of one person who had a weapon .. and he was legally allowed to carry at all times because he was a working Detective. To me, it was comforting to always see him there.

In our church, in shall-issue Oregon, our insurance company will pay the cost of a CHL (concealed handgun license) for Elders and Deacons. Maybe even for Ushers too.

For an insurance company, this is a pure dollars and cents decision, divorced from all ideology . Says a lot about what the real odds are if we take the emotional responses out of it.
