WACO - On a recent Sunday, a Cossacks Motorcycle Club officer nicknamed Diesel sipped a Diet Dr Pepper on the patio of Twin Peaks and broke the news to his son, who was also a member.
The 63 Cossacks and their supporters at the restaurant were not just waiting to have lunch with fellow bikers from around Central Texas. They had come for a special sit down with the Bandidos, to hash out an ongoing dispute.
Before their meal arrived, Diesel was shot, execution-style, with two bullets to the back of his head.
Cody Ledbetter, 26, survived the May 17 melee that left nine people dead, 18 wounded and 177 charged with engaging in organized crime.
His first-hand account of his father's death - and what played out just before and after - was shared with the Houston Chronicle from his home in Waco.
He disputes any contention by Waco police that there was a planned brawl between rival motorcycle gangs. He says the Cossacks were not expecting to fight. Instead, tough talk quickly escalated to bullets.

If so, he is not Voodoo, whom (Bow Tie alleged) encouraged the Cossacks to go to Waco (based on what several Bandidos told him; how Bandidos knew there was a snitch or undercover in the Cossacks I don’t know).
Anyway, Voodoo was performing CPR during the gunfight according to Ledbetter, above. “Bandanas were stuffed in bullet holes to try and stop the bleeding.” Maybe Voodoo had formal training in CPR, maybe he didn’t. But would have blood on him.
The cop in the picture doesn’t have any blood on him.

I’ve read enough to not believe 2/3 of these silly little stories of.the cossacks and banditos trying to avoid prison. Uh oh, starting a vendetta because I didn’t capitalize their names. I hear them coming now.

The ‘party’ was a meeting called by the Bandidos and the place of the ‘party’ was reserved by the Bandidos. The Cossacks did not pay the proper extortion fees to the Bandidos.

Even the bikers said the bikers were the first shooters. It just varies on which gang shot first.

They do agree more than they disagree. Weathers, Bandido, in his telling of the sequence of events is consistent with Ledbetter (and the earlier testimony of the anonymous Cossack leader).
Weathers heard the double-tap that is consistent with Diesel’s two shots in the head.

This guy has a white beard. Voodoo has a red beard. I think we can identify this guy if we need to. But the first aid Voodoo guy would have blood on more than his hands! All over his clothes.

They don’t teach history anymore, do they? I guess in the absence of an historically informed conscience, mere “biker” “glamour” takes precedence over the real meaning of what they proudly wear on their garments. Can’t they just google the meaning of what they place upon their bodies to advertise and proclaim? OR?
