But we will have problems in the long run if the “upper class” 18-22 year olds don’t start getting married and pregnant.

Yes, more teen moms and older fathers will save Our Country. Yet, it seems that social experiment has failed for the last 50 years, and perhaps a bit further back in time.

Do you know how many babies were killed, during that period of time?

I read somewhere that the lower and middle classes have kids in their 20s, upper class in their thirties.
The end result is those in the lower class have 2.5, middle around 2.0 and upper around 1.5, because if you have your first kid at 35, you’re way less likely to have a second.

I'll say middle class is 1.7-1.8.

Just my input here, but getting financially off the ground is a real pain nowadays. The out of school jobs people can get nowadays don’t even pay for apartments in a lot of places. 30 to 40 thousand annual salary isn’t worth what it used to be in the United States. In many places, it’s not what’s going to pay for a family without serious financial assistance from the government.

Because our society has pretty much gotten everything so economically out of whack that a lot of people are working jobs that don’t cover the cost of family when they are say, in their early years, and those same jobs and salaries would support the same years earlier.
