What worries me most is what’s happening in the oceans. More acidity, higher temperature and possible loss of the North Atlantic Oscillation which keeps our north and Europe warmer than they would otherwise be. Don’t ask me to explain it, Google NAO and NADW for details.
Um, you do know that the oceans are NOT acidic do you not?
Evidently it has happened before, according to what some researchers have found by looking at the growth of stalactites and stagmites in a Scottish cave, and yes, it can mean a major shift in what people are accustomed to in Europe. I suppose to get a better idea of the impact of such changes a lot more caves need to be sampled.
The cave study didn’t have anything to do with acidification but concerned the N A oscillation. It didn’t address the causes only the change in rainfall in areas impacted by the oscillation.
