It is not a national tragedy. It is a local tragedy. The medium is the message. The media has nationalized and collectivized EVERYTHING. We are now one family ripe for a big daddy totalitarian government. Couple hundred years ago nobody outside that locale would have known or cared.
It was one man, one individual who did this. Not a national phenomenon worthy of the feds getting involved.
It is a tragedy based on the fallacy of gun control. Legally preventing honest citizens from protecting themselves made them victims of barbarism. If even one member of the congregation had been carrying in violation of that unconstitutional law this slaughter could have been prevented.
The solution to gun violence is not to disarm and make helpless, it is to provide all necessary resources to stop criminal violence. That includes, especially, arming the citizenry.
