Whether it's the Rhodesia/South African angle or something else, I agree that there will be much more to this story when all is said and done.

Agree on all counts. Something or someone radicalized this nut. We need to figure out who and how.
Question is, can that be determined if he’s not taken alive? His FB stuff doesn’t seem to be indactive, one way or another, and people on his Friends list are running away from him as fast as they can.
