As mentioned, I prefer Cruz on top of the ticket. But unlike many on FR, I believe his voting record makes Rubio a Conservative...he is one of the highest rated each time the ratings come out.

But, I am just thinking about the map. If Cruz isn’t on the ticket, here is what I see:

The Dems will have a Hispanic on their ticket. Rubio would neutralize it. He/Walker would DESTROY Hillary on the podium...not even debating, but by appearances. Florida would be off the map. I think we’d flip WI and maybe MI. We’d win OH and probably flip IA. All of those know him well.

Rubio would carry Florida. We’d get support, I believe, in CO and NV. I think we might even flip Va.

Just my opinion.

The Gang of Eight makes Rubio a conservative?

What am I missing here?

Rubio favors continuing DACA as president, an unconstitutional executive action by Obama shortly after Congress voted down the Dream Act.

Rubio’s presidential campaign backers are same ones who backed his Gang of Eight efforts.
