I have no loyalty to Oklahoma. I spent many years in Shawnee. The charms of Oklahoma were a factor in my choosing contract engineering as a vocation, simply to have a reason to get out of the state. It's a good place to be from.

The Pacific Northwest, while it has an overflow of Leftist stupid, is not too hot, not too cold, not too dry, not too wet. Sail in the morning, ski in the afternoon, and not wildly touristy. I've lived in worse places, had driver's licenses in Vermont, North Carolina, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and now Washington. I like it here.
