He's Ross Perot with BAD HAIR!!! Perot ran as an independent for the sole purpose of making sure GHW Bush was not reelected. Then he quit when it looked like he might actually have a chance of winning, concocting a crazy story about black panthers threatening his daughters wedding, claiming the democrat party was reinvigorated. Then got back in when it looked like Bush was catching up. He was a spoiler, plain and simple.
Trump is running as a Republican, and presumably to win. There's no comparison.
