23 Prominent Democrats Who Rolled In Donald Trump’s Dough
The Federalist ^ | 06/17/2015 | By Philip Wegmann

For being a true conservative, Donald Trump sure has funneled a lot of cash to prominent liberal Democrats over the years.

The billionaire media mogul has flirted with presidential politics before. But this time, he’s finally going for it. Yesterday, Donald Trump officially announced that he’s running for president.

During a press conference at Trump Tower, the Donald declared that the nation needs someone to “take the brand of the United States and make it great again.” Mr. Trump knows something about rebranding. He’s done a lot of it over the past few years.

On the conservative speaking circuit, Trump has stumped for the support of the base. Railing against the Obama administration, he has styled himself as a foreign policy hawk with social conservative sensibilities.

But a closer look at his history reveals that Trump has been more politically promiscuous than his recent rhetoric would suggest.

Here are 23 Democrats who have handsomely profited from Trump dollars over the last two decades.

1. Hillary Clinton

Trump wanted New York to hire Clinton when she was running for The senate. He personally donated $15,500 to his potential Democratic presidential rival.

2. Charlie Rangel

Censured by the House Ethics Committee, Harlem’s Charles Rangel still secured $20,350 over the years from Donald Trump.

3. Chuck Schumer

New York’s Charles Schumer raked in $9,900 in Trump cash.

4. Harry Reid

For several years, Trump has supported the senator most responsible for the passage of ObamaCare. Harry Reid has collected $9,400 from Trump.

5. John Kerry

Until Senator Kerry launched his campaign for president in 2004, Trump regularly bankrolled the Massachusetts senator’s campaigns to the tune of$5,500.

6. Anthony Weiner

Before the Twitter selfies, Trump pumped up Weiner’s political ambitions with $4,300 in campaign contributions.

I and the First lady will not vote for Trump. We will also not vote for the "lesser of two evils."

If a candidate we like makes the GOP ticket, we will vote for them. Otherwise, this time we will not vote.

We worked for a Republican Senate, and more of a majority in the House (plus local races too), and look what we got...

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Can’t be. We were told that they were BETTER than Democrats and feet would be held to the fire.

I’m sure as we speak, covert teams of lesser evil/no matter what Freepers are fanning out across DC with feet holding devices and electric sox. Fear not. We shall be saved shortly.

I would hate to thing they lied just to get their liberals in there.

As Rush mentioned today, why can’t conservatives pile on Hillary like they are piling on Trump. Hillary would probably already be in prison. But, as Trump said, they will talk about her latest scandal for a day or two, and then forget it.
I like Trump because it is out of DESPERATION the already elected politicians.

If he had to prime the pump then he’s a coward. Being Trump he could have called them out on their embezzlment tactics and went over their heads.

For him to admit “you have to grease the wheels” proves to me he shouldn’t be anywhere near government. He’s part of the problem.

And don’t forget the 2014 “we must give the GOP the Senate” crap we got lectured about.

l, 2, 3, and 6, were all prominent New York City politicians. It's not surprising that Trump had to pay to play there.

He's Ross Perot with BAD HAIR!!!

Perot ran as an independent for the sole purpose of making sure GHW Bush was not reelected. Then he quit when it looked like he might actually have a chance of winning, concocting a crazy story about black panthers threatening his daughters wedding, claiming the democrat party was reinvigorated. Then got back in when it looked like Bush was catching up. He was a spoiler, plain and simple.

Trump is running as a Republican, and presumably to win. There's no comparison.

He said she’s smart and she loves America “I guess”. That’s a far cry from LOVING her, let alone her policies.

You are obviously not a businessman...and particularly not a real estate developer or financier of such.

I am not a Trump supporter but I do know real estate finance...and he did what he had to do.

RE: Trump said he wii build a wall on our Southern border and make Mexico pay for it.

And how, pray tell, is he going to tell Mexico to pay for it?
