Here’s the important thing here: her claims served to reinforce and perpetuate the racist stereotype that Black men are sex-crazed maniacs obsessed with forcing themselves upon white women.

It’s exactly the sort of charge that, 100 or so years ago, would have resulted in her ex-hubby being lynched.
