The House of Representatives voted today, June 16th, to change their rules and extend the delay passed last Friday after the trade assistance portion of the fast-track bill was soundly defeated. It's a delay tactic to give both lobbyists for both parties plenty of time to purchase a path forward on the legislation that failed in the House last week. The vote went down largely along party lines, 236-189 "that saw just a handful of Republicans vote against it, and a handful of Democrats vote for it."
In order to pass fast-track to the treasonous Obamatrade, a series international, corporate of coups des lois, the House needed to pass two interlinked bills. The trade assistance bill, designed to pay the costs to workers who lose their employment as a result of "trade," i.e., outsourcing of their jobs, failed last Friday 125 - 302. Immediately after, Speaker Boehner rose to call for a delay to reconsider the vote that an obscure House rule allowed. That delay was for two business days, but the Republican leadership knew that two days was not enough time to change enough votes for the trade assistance bill to have it pass. That will require more time and lots of bribes, i.e., "campaign contributions."
An email from the Daily Kos declares, "this is so incredible, I almost can’t believe it—We may have just beaten Fast Track trade authority and, with it, one of the biggest anti-labor, anti-environment trade deals of all time." Don't count on that.
Speaker Boehner knows how to grease the wheel of "democracy." Once, in the mid-90's he "decided to play Santa Claus by handing out checks from tobacco lobbyists to fellow Congressional sleazes right on the floor of the House."

The only solution is for someone to introduce a rule that if a bill is voted down it will have to wait for a new congress to be seated for it to be brought up again.

NAFTA only passed in the House after a bunch of side deals and pork promised to several members. This one is beginning to sound even worse.
It’s time to fear Republican leadership. These guys are not buffoons and cartoon characters anymore. Truly they are owned by someone or something and it isn’t us, whom they “represent”. We’re now their useful idiots.
Honestly? These guys make Trump look honest, forthright, and
even a little courageous. At minimum, the crazy man is unafraid to call a spade a spade, and the stupid “stupid”.
But these guys are worse than dumb. They are corrupt.
If true, this sleaze needs to be dragged out and kicked to the curb. He just fired the conservatives who whipped against the bill, off of the whip committee.

Let’s hope trade opponents come to their senses in the interim and not line up with Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, Liz Warren, Richard Trumka, Barbara Boxer, Dick Durbin, and Chuck Schumer.

But honest politicians are hard to find these days.
An honest politician is one who when bought, stays bought.
Hillary is on record supporting Obamatrade 45 times. Only now when she needs unon backing has she backed off. If she was in the house she would be one of those Democrats who would only vote yes if they had to have her vote to pass.

Why do I keep thinking of this as NAFTA 2.0? The first one shut down American factories. Now with insurance companies endorsing “virtual doctor visits”.. Guess what call center your “doctor” is coming from?
I think a virtual visit for routine stuff is fine, but just wait until you have an organ fail and you are talking to someone with zero clinical experience but great credentials.
Moreover 75% of the member of congress have also been compromised. Not only the White House, but the Chinese and the Russians have the goods on all of these guys.
Now we learn that the Chinese have the files on every federal employee. That includes employees of the defense department, the CIA, the FBI, etc.
The entire government of the US has been compromised. The republic, as we have known it, is dead.
Govern yourselves accordingly, friends.
