If the characters were Egyptian or North Africans such as Carthaginians then they were White. She was apparently demanding that Black actors portray White North Africans because after all, they were Africans.
What a crazy world we live in.
I am sure she would have demanded that Cleopatra be portrayed by a Black actress too. Actually she probably would not have had to make that demand as they probably would have already had one.
