All that may be true, but this meeting went bad in a hurry. Just like anything else, the few ruin it for the many. But places like Sturgis and other large rallies are different, it would seem. You have thousands of bikers, not a concentrated gathering of hardcore guys who don’t like each other.

The meeting hadn't even started.

Just like anything else, the few ruin it for the many. But places like Sturgis and other large rallies are different, it would seem. You have thousands of bikers, not a concentrated gathering of hardcore guys who don’t like each other.

Last time I went to Sturgis, there were 500,000 bikers in the immediate area, from Hell's Angels to Headhunters and from all over the world. Clubs tend to congregate with their own, and everyone knows where everyone else is. It is an area where there is a general truce, just like ABATE meetings, and a host of other functions--including CoC meetings.

Try pitting the arrest record for Sturgis any given year against that for a town of a half-million (in August), keeping in mind that in Sturgis it isn't unusual to see a police officer every 100 feet on main street (They make a killing and come from all over to be there), so there is no shortage of LEOs to arrest and process anyone who needs it.

It isn't like someone aerial sprays pixie dust to keep the 'eeevil bikers' in line, it is just the way it has always been.

Club business is handled out of the public eye. Period.
