Did you REALLY just compare an organized group of criminals known for dealing drugs to kids, gun running, violence against women, and a myriad of other unlawful acts to a school board meeting?

And yeah, I'm well aware that there were plenty of wanna-be bad boys a this event, but the cops can't be expected to parse them out at the scene.

As to your other point, if all 9 of the dead were using deadly physical force against another biker or a cop or an ordinary citizen, then yes, I'm glad they're gone.

Well, that is pretty much their job and here in Texas we expect public servants to actually do their jobs. And abso-damned-lutely they should have gotten around to doing their jobs before the bonds were assigned

So there is a huge difference in the level of competence demanded in Texas relative to what is tolerated in New York City.

Wow. You are spoon-fed pre-processed news just like it was baby food. You are so fabulously, ridiculously obtuse, thinking in terms of "wanna-be bad boys" -- factor, I don't know what attic or basement you live in, but I live in the real world where even the wanna-be "bad boys" have criminal records; as for the real bad boys in biking, they ALL have criminal records that are distinguished and include juvenile crime.

THEREFORE, lack of a criminal record, as with TWO THIRDS of the folks who were arrested, proves to ME, a person who actually lives, breathes, lives and loves real people in the real world, that two third of them were just ... bikers, not even wanna-be bad boys. It's pretty obvious.

I am as naïve as a baby when it comes to NYC -- you are from there or live there, correct? -- and I could easily be duped regarding anything to do with NYC culture; I know it. YOU are as naïve when it comes to Harley riders -- the difference is you don't know it.

Even if they were doing so in self-defense, or in defense of another party who had been/was being attacked with lethal force?

At least in my state those are perfectly legal reasons to use lethal force. Be careful of your presumptions.
