I own several Donald Trump dress shirts. They cost me $20 a piece at Burlington Coat Factory. They’re made in Bangladesh, where they work even cheaper than they do in China.

Several have mentioned that in recent days, but I donh't think anyone really knows why. The apparel, or sewing factory industry has practically left the US. There were once twelve or fifteen plants within about twenty miles of me and now there are none.

I don't know if there are apparel, or sewing contractors in the US to handle very much of that type work any more. Even some large companies that tried to stay in the US are now mostly gone.

I take it very seriously. A guy with 9 billion bucks doesn’t do this without some objective in mind. It might not be to win the presidency — although that’a a possibility — but it is not just a lark. My suspicion is that it is to knock someone out. Since Bush announced yesterday, my guess would be that it’s to injure Bush.

It could be to loan himself billions for his campaign, put that money in his ‘campaign fund’ and have it be non-taxable until he dies.

the he ought to shut his mouth about imports and China, and focus on why industry finds it impossible to operate in our regulatory environment.

There isn’t a single one running right now who isn’t a liar.

I’ve heard Trump at least four times on the Savage Nation over the years. His deal is economics, jobs, trade, illegal immigration, gov regulations etc.

Why not? Thats what every single Romney and Jonbon / Mitch supporter actually ...did... . They all seemed to be OK with it at the time. Fortunately many wised up.

I don't think that Trump's fans support liberalism. I think they're just deluded.

Conservatives have been rightly disappointed to the point of disgust with establishment Republicans (Dole, the Bushes, Romney, McCain), so they grasp at any straw they see. Usually, that straw is some fringe, self-promoting clown who happens to mouth the right rhetoric for the moment. They're dreaming of a conservative Great White Hope to come along and drive out the GOP establishment. It's a worthy dream, but I have news for them: Donald Trump isn't it. Like all self-promoters, his political "positions" are those that draw the most attention and controversy at the moment.

Ok so you really think Trump couldn't make money making shirts in the USA? A state of the art factory would do quit well here in a R-T-W state.

Weren’t you one of the people that used to say “It’s a lesser evil”?

What did Cruz ‘lie’ about? He is wrong on TPP but he isn’t lying about anything. He just believes wrongly.

I’m not so sure we want a shy, self-effacing President.

The guy LOVES this country. He lived the American Dream. He has made his kids learn hard and work hard even with the perks they receive from being his kids.

We could do a whole lot worse. He’s not going to be beholden for money. That is, as he would say it, YUGE.

I’d vote for him over Hillary even with all his faults. He isn’t needy. Psychologically needy candidates are DANGEROUS. Obama, Newt, Clinton. Would President Trump do stupid things? Yes. Would he dare to actually overturn ObamaCare? Would he speak the truth to Radical Islam? Would he build a better USA economy? Yes too.

We’ve had [expletive deleted] Obama as our President for seven years. If we had to go Trump, it could still be a 200% improvement.

I’m glad he’s in because at the minimum, he’s going to force the rest of the GOP candidates to come out from under their various rocks and answer the tough questions.

Agree. Time for some straight talk

Yeah, so he won’t be like the other “monkeys on a string” pandering to Wall Street and other big business interests. I’m glad he’s in because at the minimum, he’s going to force the rest of the GOP candidates to come out from under their various rocks and answer the tough questions.

This is exactly why I support Trump's candidacy -- not because he will win or that I will even vote for him, but because he will force the other candidates and the Press to address the big questions. Take the construction of a border wall, for example. Jeb, Rubio, and the rest of the RINOs and GOPe will brush the wall off as impractical without addressing the hard immigration questions. Trump will say that a wall is impractical only if you lack the will to solve the problem. I can imagine him talking about how walls have been used effectively for thousands of years to protect national sovereignty and to keep bad people out (and in some cases in) -- the Vatican, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, China, and East Germany, to name a few, and if we have the will, it can be done.

No, he lied about the constitution and treaties by supporting Corker’s Iran bill.
