“we’re going to need a bigger boat”

How many milliseconds after this story broke did liberals blame it on gorebull warming?
We used to vacation at Ocean Isle where one attack took place. Oak Island was a redneck beach back in the day when it was called “Long Beach”.
Yeah I stayed there.
Bad news I live very close, rarely swim in ocean but when friends visit it is the first thing why want to do. Had a nephew visit from Illinois first time at ocean, after 4 hours had to coax him off boggy board a take him to eat.
“The emergency call about the girl came in about 4:40 p.m., and the one about the boy at 5:51 p.m., local officials said.”
I grew up on the water and swam when I was four because I didn’t know I couldn’t. It was just something people did.
We were also told not to go into the water toward evening. Feeding time. We usually had a last swim around three.
I like being near the ocean; but not IN the ocean.
Fish and other creatures belong there; not humans.
We belong on the shore; with a drink in our hand gazing out at the ocean.
Listening to the news reports this morning sounds like JAWS 2015. The Great Whites are doing their yearly migration up the East Coast. Authorities should be on the lookout.
When will they blame climate change?
They say that in New Smyrna Beach (where more bites take place than anywhere in the world) if you are in the water, you are within 10’ of a shark.
I grew up in Jacksonville, FL. I think the blues are running this time of year and they come in real shallow. Even they will bite you. Its possible the blues were in the water and the sharks following them.
“Humans are friends, not food.”
One thing we noticed especially this year is almost all the surf fishermen were catching only sharks. Most were small ones, under 18 inches, but we saw one about 3 feet one guy threw back. Apparently PETA or somebody convinced the local phoobahs that all caught sharks need to be thrown back - which everybody was doing. I hear they are re-thinking the policy of throwing them back.
