White people have been reaping the rewards of appropriating black culture for years. At least Rachel Dolezal was doing it to educate others.
There’s been a lot of outrage directed at Rachel Dolezal, the civil rights activist recently outed for “passing” as a black woman. But some of us are scratching our heads trying to figure out why Dolezal’s particular case has evoked such anger when she’s simply doing what has been standard in American culture for years: hijacking aspects of black culture, and black beauty in particular, reaping the rewards while black women with the same attributes rarely do.
According to reports, and accompanying photos, as part of her alleged fraud, Dolezal tanned her skin and braided her hair. So in other words she’s like a zillion white female celebrities. Jennifer Aniston recently noted in an interview that she needed a tanning “intervention” to let go of her obsession with darkening herself. She is far from alone in Hollywood where spray tans have become as ubiquitous on red carpets as spanx....

Black liberation theology types like this one have glommed onto “we all came from Africa” crap. Which is what it is- inasmuch as the genome project has id’d people from way over in Siberia as separate from true ancient Amerindians. So that is indeed a quandary.

So, is the contention that Black Women are prettier than White Women?
Really? Outrage? Can't say I've seen any outrage over this. Ridicule, yes. Outrage, no.
Actually, now that I think about it, I guess I have seen outrage. Poverty Pimps like Al Sharpton are outraged that Rachel Dolezal is being mocked.
Besides, what kind of name is "Rachel" for a black woman? She could've at least added an apostrophe somewhere. Ra'Chel or R'Achel or Rache'l.
Sounds to me like she hasn't totally accepted her blackness. She's still trying to hang on to her former whiteness.

Black men will take almost any white woman , even morbidly obese white women over a black woman with an attitude. Unattractive white women will latch onto a black man that treats her right... the same men that black women bulldoze with ‘tude and denigrate as weak.

So she attempted to take a job away from an actual (if there is such a thing) African-American just like Elizabeth Warren took a spot from an actual Native American by listing herself as such.

I used to tan when I was younger......and I never did it to look black. I still tan occasionally by our pool but mostly just to even out the tank top (okie) tans I get on our boat. Lol
Well, she might be an idiot, but she’s not hard on the eyes. Not at all.
