My explanation is that most Texas policemen, including Waco's local cops, are WAY too professional, smart and savvy to make such a mistake (of arresting 177 people, holding them in jail for three weeks or more on MILLION DOLLAR BAIL and only a third had criminal histories), THEREFORE the LEO involved were of another caliber, specially chosen for whatever this was about. It was not an accident or the result of over-zealousness. It was deliberate and planned. To what end, is another topic entirely -- DON'T CONFUSE THE ISSUES, PLEASE.

I don't know what it WAS, but I sure as hell know it what it wasn't. It wasn't super-dumb-ass bikers acting out in the presence of God knows how many cameras, cell phones, and SIX marked police cars in broad daylight in a crowded public place. I sure as hell know it wasn't an honest mistake on the part of overzealous officers.

Sorry, I gotta go with Occam's razor on this one.

In other words, you opt for the idea that EVERYONE involved was that wholly completely STOOOOOPID, that it resulted in the deaths of nine civilians and and a whole lot of folks with ZERO criminal histories being jailed for weeks on million dollar bail.
