Make it 40. Like the years between 1924 and 1965, when we sharply reduced immigration and set quotas so that the (smaller) flow of immigrants would not alter this nation's culture or ethnic makeup. During those years, America was great. Since 1965 we've had such a huge flood, we need at least 40 years to assimilate them and turn things around. I doubt it will happen, but it should happen.
