And speaking of courage, supporters of the other candidates haven’t exactly been bogged down under its weight. There have been several threads about the candidates going to kiss the ring of the Mittfather. All have been very quiet threads like this one.

Anyone who thinks their candidate has gained the protection of Romney operatives is fooling themselves. Their Candidate will remain safe as the Romney operatives stir strife and tear down other candidates one by one but the inevitable Ides of March moment will come and clear the final path for Jeb Bush.
I understand what you’re saying. I don’t have a plan B. Cruz was it for me. And I do recognize that others are using this as an opportunity to attack him in favor of other candidates who themselves would support this same thing. Its dishonest.
But its also dishonest to let this slide for fear of damaging Cruz.
I’m not happy about the whole “secret law” business, I’m not happy about the way its being rammed into law, I’m not happy about the immigration provisions. They say it doesn’t circumvent US law, but of course thats exactly what it does. It would be of dubious constitutionality regardless of who is president, but you could make a practical argument for fast-tracking a trade deal. But giving this kind of power to this president is disturbing.
Try and see beyond just Cruz. This is a bad deal. I expect this kind of thing from Boehner, McConnell, and Obama. It would be nice if someone could reply to the specifics and defend the trade deal on its specifics. But of course no one is allowed to comment on it. No one is allowed to reveal whats in it. Thats banana republic stuff.
