WACO, Texas (NBC) We are getting a new perspective about what happened the day rival biker gangs shot each other at a Twin Peaks in Waco.
Me and my other friend had been inside, and we got something to drink, and we came and sat down, and we were looking at menus, and then it happened, said Kevin Rash. I mean that quickly, and we scurried inside and started getting employees into the coolers and stuff.
Rash just got out of jail and is now talking about what he saw that day in Waco. Rash was inside the Twin Peaks restaurant where an argument first started before the shooting moved to the parking lot. Last week, prosecutors described videos of the shooting where members of the Cossacks lined up on the Twin Peaks patio waiting for trouble. Rash says thats not how it went down.
There was a few guys hanging out there, but it wasnt like anybody was lined up waiting for anything, he said.
Rash says the only lineup was the people who were arrested. Hes one of the 170 taken to jail that day. Rash is a member of the Bogateers, a support club for the Cossacks motorcycle gang involved in the shooting.
Microinvalidation
And that is what TexasGator is.
He was here in the early days of FR. He would take the most outrageous positions, strictly for the fight. What made him GOOD, was that he actually put up pretty cogent arguments. One of my favorites of his was that all fleeing felons in cars should be shot at with .50 caliber machine guns. That thread was a hoot.
I figured him out by his name. One of the characters in Fight Club was named Robert Paulsen. I suddenly, in a flash, put it all together. I freepmailed him, and he responded "SHHHH! You'll kill my fun. :) "
Just in the interest of rational discussion, would you please define what comprises a "Bike gang" in your rhetoric, as opposed to any non-"gang" people who ride motorcylces in organized groups?
Thank you.
"So, basically, if you support the constitution, you have to support the rights of drug-dealing criminal gangs to receive due process of law.. And if you don't support the rights of drug-dealing criminal gangs to receive due process of law., then you don't support the constitution."
Substitute "drug-dealing criminal gangs" (in both instances) with, "sub humans", and then ask T.Gator if he/she agrees with it. I think a lot of posters could save face this way and we all might benefit by getting over this particular bump in the Wacko story.
The article that you linked to says nothing about releasing a video.
Bike gangs are any group that is similar to or emulates Hell’s Angels, Bandidos, Cossacks, etc. such as most of those at the Twin Peaks when the shooting started.
Ordinary law abiding citizens who ride as well as “Law Abiding” Veteran or Christian type groups are not gangs.
I do think that generally we all are able to recognize a motorcycle gang and gang members, by their actions, appearance and demeanor. Whether someone (such as a FR poster) wishes to admit that fact is another question.
Did that answer the question?
So much for police hiding ...
Right when we pulled in, we saw officers sitting in patrol cars”
We certainly can agree that during what’s known as the Indian Wars, the US Calvary did some very brutal and inhuman things to Native Americans. Part of that was a carry over from the Civil War with jerks like Custer given free-rein and part in retribution for smaller scale atrocities conducted by some native American tribes against USA settlers. Wounded Knee being one of the worst.
Wounded Knee and Waco Twin Peaks are vastly different situations. The Waco police immediately turned the post Twin Peaks investigation over to the Texas Rangers. The Rangers are as ethical and as Constitutionally abiding LEO group as exists, period. The Rangers would have spoken up had the report given by Waco police not been extremely close to factual.
There was no police massacre at Twin Peaks. Had the cops not taken whatever measures they did, there would very likely have been a massacre with many more shot and killed bike gang members by rival bike gang members that day.
Considering you did not address my points in post 90, I repeat:
Whats up with the constant bringing up My Lai? There seems to be some fixation with that atrocious incident.
Its not really called for nor assisting getting a legitimate point across. A bit of bullying? (Which does seem to be a much too common thread running through many of these Waco bike gang shootout threads)
I have a question you may be able to answer regarding the continuous drone of their Constitutional Rights were violated, exactly which of those rights did the Waco cops violate? Were the bike gangers not given due process?
From a non bike gang supporter, it seems that taking the totality of the shooting in a public place with innocent bystanders, the great number dead and wounded, combined with a record of bike gang threats to Waco police, combined with criminal records of many charged and combined with what number of persons at the scene who were armed who did not have CHL, the high bonds were necessary to protect the public and the bike gangs from one another.
If you want to rely on the fall-back position of making personal attacks, such as slinging My Lai at anyone who dares disagree, then your argument defending bike gangs will continue to lose ground as well as damage the Free Republic forum itself.
There was no lashing out in 122 or any other of my posts. Facts and logical conclusions.
Do you just chose to not read replies to your posts or is there some difficulty in comprehension? Most likely you simply can not rationally retort to the points in post 122.
No, but thanks for playing.
Missing the point seems to be your SOP.
I am weary of your nonsense.
Define sub-human. And please cite the relevant part of the Constitution as to their status.
Boo freaking hoo. Sorry, I didn’t bring a hanky.
Like I said, I have zero tolerance for those who tolerate police massacres, or excuse them, or rationalize them.
Biker gang kiss-ups and fact deniers throwing in the towel?
I have pointed out facts of this case and of bike gang behavior, each of you was asked to respond to specific points or aligations, every one of you big tough guys are instead trying, unsuccessfully I might add, to scare away us that dare show you the truth. Its plain for all to see why you sympathize with bike gang criminals.
Your weak come-backs sounds amazingly like the Iranian nuke negotiator’s ploy of “don’t try to confuse us with facts, its OUR WAY or the highway”.
As every single one of these Waco bike gang shoot ‘em up threads has shown, criminal bike gang defense is a losing argument. Thank you for continuing to reinforce everyone’s recognition of that clearly obvious conclusion.
“Your weak come-backs”
Some of these dudes have spent 15 years here honing these skills.
Distance????? It was another Bandidos CoC meeting! Bikers are either really dumb or part of the gang to keep attending Bandidos meetings.
“Bikers gather in Harris Co. to distance themselves from Waco”
Intellectual laziness would be my best guess x-spurt. Even out of context...it's just easier to throw up some 'propaganda' art' than it would be to engage in a serious discussion.
The fact that he's borrowing tropes from the old anti-war left is...ironic.
“Intellectual laziness would be my best guess x-spurt. “
When you are out defending gangstas, you really don’t have any other ammo.
