TPP is secret - but isn’t the subject of Cruz’s discussion at the moment.
TPA is not secret, and is what is being discussed.
Crux isn’t talking down to us - he is using a debating style to outline why he is supporting the non-secret TPA.
We can agree or disagree, but to have a politician actually engage with their understanding of what is actually in a bill is a refreshing change, to me.
It shouldn’t be refreshing, because Cruz and others are ignoring the toxicity of both bills together, like a drug that shouldn’t be taken with another drug.
Their tactic is:
1. Try to confuse them.
2. If it doesn’t work, try to convince them they are confused.
