He was governor of a blue state. You have to factor that in. He was accountable to a much different constituency and political situation than if he were president.

And when you elect a president you’re not just electing one man. The establishment-in-waiting of his party comes in with him. So a vote for the Republican means voting in a whole slew of people who will fill positions that affect the business of the country, people who are more conservative than the outgoing Rats they replace. This is no small thing. A vote for Romney was a vote not only against Obama but also against people like Lois Lerner and a thousand other less visible lefty apparatchiks who are screwing up the country even as we speak.

As for how the election went, you got your guy and his many helpers. Your failure to persuade more conservatives to stay home just meant he won by a smaller margin.

Except none of us was telling people to stay home. Quite the opposite. We were oth there working to get people to more conservative. Thats also historical fact.

Mitt’s state being blue does not matter. Logically if you want to flip a blue state red, you would push conservative policy. If you want to make it bluer, you push liberal policy. Mitt pushed abortion, gay marriage, hard left judges and Romney cage. The result was making a blue state bluer.

Again, documented history.
