Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee is continuing his vocal defense of the Duggars, stars of TLC’s top-rated reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” in the wake of the molestation scandal that has enveloped the Arkansas family.
“In every family we deal with crises, we deal with issues,” Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor, told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on Monday. “I was just stunned and shocked that, number one, the victims were exploited in this by the media for their own purposes — there was no interest in the media to protect those girls.”

by the same token, he doesn’t know to what extent the parents lied or minimized in order to protect Josh. Speculation about what happened by anyone who wasn’t there is pointless, Huck should know enough to just shut up.
Exactly. The family makes the decision to get on tv yet they blame others????? Give me a break!!! I had about enough of seeing them on tv. That woman and her wide-eyed look was enough to tell me something is very wrong.

Yup. The few times I've seen the show (my wife used to watch, until it became even too creepy for her), I've gotten a definite cult-like vibe from the family (particularly the women and girls in the family). The recent interviews have done nothing to dispel that feeling.

The Duggars have been exploiting those kids for the sake of the show for how many years now?
Why in the sam hill, is a presidential candidate repeatedly weighing in on the troubles of people on a reality show????
If elected, how much time will the next president spend dealing with issues related to reality TV people????? Is this really a matter which a serious presidential candidate should be discussing??????
They’ve also hired his advisor Chad Gallagher to handle PR.
He’s had about as much success with that as making the Huckster president.
Even better, Josh Duggar is rapidly going through that TLC money having hired Kate Gosselin’s (Of Kate +8 fame, she’s the one that had sextuplets and let TLC follow her around) bodyguard to yell at photographers that get too close to that U-Haul of shame that’s taking him back to Arkansas.

After Huckabee solves the Duggar problem, maybe he can help Honey Boo Boo or the Kardashians.
This is about as ground breaking as Lincoln Chafee’s promise to spearhead the metric system in the U.S. if elected president.
Oh boy! I hope this buries his campaign.
Fortunately, Huckabee is not a serious candidate for president (or for anything else for that matter) ... not really.
I hate to say it but people will look at them and say/think Christians and homeschooling families must be like them. I sure hope not but it will not surprise me in the least.
The media made a big deal out of this because the perp was supposedly a Republican. Duggar is a goofball who touched his sisters. Big deal. Not like he masturbated them to orgasm or penetrated them. Had children with them. Tried to romance them. When did adolescent sexual exploration become a heinous crime against nature? The sisters didn’t seem the worst for wear until the MSM started outing them. I remain unimpressed by any of this. I’d have put him in counseling and taken away his cell phone for a month. If he did it after that, he’s have to find a new place to live. Give him two demerits and call it even. The world does not revolve around the sanctity of the female reproductive parts.
Yep. That was why it was originally put on the air. Then they noticed Evangelicals were watching it and making it their most highly rated program.
The goofy music stopped after the first few specials as they actually made some effort not to offend them.
The Duggars support Huckabee for president. It’s not surprising he continues his “vocal defense.”
The media would have made an even bigger deal out if it had turned out to be the Kardashians.

Josh Duggar might have God’s forgiveness. He might have his sister’s forgiveness. He might have his parent’s and family’s forgiveness.
He may even have our forgiveness. That doesn’t mean anyone wants to see or hear anything he has to say. This event changes everything. He needs to fade from view and live a life of humility in obscurity.
The Duggar show needs to end as well. It is forever marred. It will do more damage than good to the message they hope to convey staying on the air.
Time to GO AWAY.
