Yes it does. At this point I want to remind everyone that this Engineer was a Homosexual activists, and the most likely cause of his behavior was an attempted suicide where he "takes everyone with me."

This is exactly what the "German Wings" Pilot (Also alleged to be Homosexual) did.

I think he throttled the train in response to the train's window 'being shot at' (perceived) but he is now afraid to admit his thoughts of the window breakage at that moment and his costly overreaction to it.
