It’s not ‘tortured’ anything. It’s smart and correct practical politics.
Ted is doing here to the anti-Cruz trolls what he did in Iowa to those pushing for ethanol subsidies. And the result is that Iowans support him even more for being honest.
The anti-Cruz trolls are losing because Ted’s connection with Americans is growing and leaving an enormous impression. Even the employees of his primary opponents acknowledge his speeches rate off the charts; one even saying he’s scoring 14 on a scale of 10.
The anti-Cruz trolls are not going to stop him by trying to mix it up with trade deals or H1B or anything because his logic is impeccable. He educates people to see what’s in it for them and he turns them around. That’s what makes him a great leader.

As Ted says about his opponents to everyone he speaks to, “ask them to SHOW ME, not just TELL ME”. Ted has no issues page on his tedcruz.org website, he has only a record of accomplishments.
