Another issue is that CAFE is now applying to trucks. A small pickup will improve their truck CAFE rating. This is why they developed the ego boost.

It is and it isn't. For example, it now applies to those <8500T trucks, but not for those >8500T. That would mean that it does apply to the F150, but not the F250. ;-)
