Best way to scare off new voters is to remind them that when they register to vote they also have a chance of being called for Jury Duty, as Jurors are pulled from the voter registration lists.
I’ve known lots of people who refuse to vote so they won’t have to serve on a jury.
That’s the way it works here.
I fully expect the Democrats to make a move to require proof of having voted in order to sign up for food stamps, welfare, energy assistance, student loans, or any other gimmedat program.
In California, they also use DMV records. So if you drive or have a California ID, you can be summoned.
