Well, I hate to break it to you, but the voice of Sweet Reason sometimes simply doesn’t get the job done.
But just so I’m clear, your primary critique is that the officer raised his voice?
I can tell you this, for sure though, since you decided to bring my family into this conversation: any offspring of mine who a) was trespassing and b) refused to leave when asked and then c) refused a police officer’s lawful demand to disperse and then d) resisted arrest would not need to worry about the police or the courts or any such wrist-slaps from officialdom. They would be far too worried about the wrath of Dad, which may well be one reason I never had to deal with any of that crap from any of my kids.

My primary concern is the cop seriously over reacted.

Unless the cop shot then dead. Then they wouldn’t have to be worried about. Of course they would deserve it huh?
I mean talking back to a cop should be punishable by whatever means the cop feels is warranted.
