A police officer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area has been suspended after video footage emerged that shows him wrestle a bikini-clad girl to the ground and then point his gun at a group of unarmed teenagers.
The incident happened after McKinney Police Department received several calls on Friday night about a disturbance near the Craig Ranch North Community Pool.
Cell phone footage of the incident shows one officer arrive at the scene and start overreacting in a manner that does little to defuse the situation.

To add some context to this, the Dindu Nuffins are rioting outside of MetLife Center in New Jersey, right now, at the Hip-Hop Summer Jam Concert.
One NJ State Trooper enroute to the hospital, teargas deployed, more officers enroute. LOTS of pics and vids already on Twitter.

Thanks for the quick heads-up.
Here’s a link to a short article. I’ll copy (after the link) the first comment from the article which I find interesting.

“I was there and someone pulled out a gun. My tickets were over $350 and I spoke to the insurance department. Ticket master over sold the tickets ....... I was standing in one section and they grouped everyone in another section while a helicopter was hovering like they knew something would happen because of this situation. I just arrived back at my hotel and I don’t remember seeing police in gear. I was ducking in diving behind cars like I was in a video game.”
Yes. I have been afraid for my life. Several times. and I still think this officer was in the wrong.
Every other officer on the scene behaved professionally. One did not. And that’s the one you defend. And you wish he had “gotten rid of some trash”? Sickening.
Mod has now pulled TWO stories I have tried to post about this.
???????????????
What would Andy do?
Damn right I am defending him. He went home alive today, and not in a body bag. If he had not pulled his gun there is a good chance those two thugs would have hurt or killed him. Maybe he overreacted, but at least he survived. Nobody has the right to rush at a police officer like that. What the hell do you think they were up to? Do you think they wanted to give him a pat on the back? Would it have made you happy if those two men had hurt or killed that officer. Do you think they were running towards him for a good reason. I grow tired of all this defending of bad behavior. The place to fight the police is in the courts not on the street. If you run at a cop and he shoots you, then tough s#it.
Andy never dealt with the thug crowd.

They might have been duplicates or from a source to which we’re not allowed to link. But it is apparently a screwed up situation where folks who paid big bucks for tickets have been locked out. Hell, I might be rioting and throwing bottles also (not really, but I might feel the temptation momentarily).
What you’re missing is that this officer was running out of control even before he encountered anyone at the scene. When he first arrived at the location, he ran onto the scene with a movie-style “tumble” of some kind (watch the video, hard to describe how comical it was), and then started running at people. Before anything else.
And yes, he got home safely. But so did every other officer at the scene, without resorting to the same idiocy.
The other cops didnt. In fact they restrained him.
Tell you what, you go out in public and pull a firearm and point it at people. I’ll wager the cops will consider it to be deadly force.
Looks “white Hispanic”.
“In the movie Wyatt Earp, Wyatt disagrees with Ed Masterson working as a lawman, believing him to be too passive (Earp described Ed Masterson thusly He’s amicable. However, the Dodge City council decides that Ed is more acceptable than Wyatt due to the latters excessive force, and fires him, appointing Ed to take his place. Ed Masterson is then later shot dead in the street.”
Yeah. That’s a movie. This isn’t really Dodge City those teenage kids aren’t really drunken cowboys and this cop isn’t Wyatt Earp.
If he’s not in control of himself enough to maintain his professional training, you know, like the other two cops then he doesn’t have any business as a cop.
I’ll give you it’s a hard job and I’m sure any number of people or situations can make you see red. He’s supposed to be a professional who’s trained to not go ballistic because some high school kids were being mouthy or not respecting his authority.
The reality is that he was dealing with the same situation that a typical high school teacher handles daily some unruly suburban teenagers.
What would Andy do....
The video I saw started with him trying to arrest a woman who was clearly resisting arrest, then two morons ran toward him and he was clearly threatened by their apparent attack. If he was stupid then the smart thing to do is to back off and not make the situation worse. My brother is a deputy sheriff, and let me tell you there is a palpable fear out there. The police officers in this country are wound tight, and the tension they feel is real. The cops feel as if they are under attack by our own government, they will make mistakes. Fear makes fool of everybody. I did not see anything in the video that would justify those two idiots to rush at this officer. And I am not ashamed to say that if I was in that situation there would be two less men in the world. My DI said when in doubt don’t hesitate and kill them all. He made it through three wars and was the smartest man I ever met. I am not brave enough to be a cop. I have been a victim, never again.
Andy would do acting. But the fictitious character, like the Lone Ranger, has often been referred to by Mafia cops to ridicule clean cops.
“My DI said when in doubt dont hesitate and kill them all. He made it through three wars and was the smartest man I ever met. “
This was a bunch of high school kids trespassing (maybe) at a community pool. Not war.
You can check my posting history and see that I’m not gentle on bad cops or law enforcement that serves an evil purpose. But I’m cutting this particular guy some slack...he followed standard procedures for bringing down and handcuffing someone resisting detention. Situations can get out of control.
Maybe he COULD have used better judgment in retrospect, but he was in the situation REAL TIME without the benefit of Monday morning quarterbacking.
