I have mentioned this before: Some years ago I was friends with the owner of an Irish restaurant on Green St. in SF. Savage hung out there on a regular basis.

The owner and I were talking and he was seeking some advice, as he wanted to permanently 86 him from the establishment. He told me that each time Savage comes in he starts talking (loudly), gets angry. picks a verbal fight if some one challenges him, and people leave. Obnoxious was one of the gentler words used to describe him.

I said if people are leaving, you have to 86 him.

Few weeks later I followed up on the discussion, but Savage had not been back in, yet. Turns our he must have found a new watering hole as he disappeared.

That guy is TOTALLY cool..!!

Thanks for the story. I think I read here somewhere about him constantly losing staff. Any knowledge of those things?
